Welcome to the Black Squirrel Scurry Triathlon!
Join us on Saturday, July 27th for the Black Squirrel Scurry Triathlon.
This is our annual event in conjunction with Ballyhoos Lobsterfest. The Black Squirrel Scurry is a triathlon that features a 2 mile paddle down the Prairie River, a 17.5 mile bike ride featuring the River Bend Trail out to the countryside of Lincoln County, and a 5k trail run through the Merrill Area Rec Complex and Council Grounds State Park. Races include divisions for 19 and Under Relays, Corporate Relays, Tandems, and Aged divisions for individuals. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the “Northwoods Veterans Post” and Friends of the River Bend Trail. Timing is provided by T & H timing Services, LLC. Registration will open January 1st, 2019 at Tortoise and Hare Timing.
In between the event and the awards ceremony located at Ballyhoos, there will be a 1 mile fun run/charity walk “Lobster Crawl” at approximately 3:00 PM to raise money for the “Safe Ride Home” Program. This is a participatory, nontimed event. Join in or sit back and listen to the music.
Awards will be presented at Cenotaph Park (across from Ballyhoo’s) at approximately 1:30 PM. For those interested, your preordered lobster will be ready to be served at 4:00 PM at Ballyhoo’s Lobsterfest.
