How to become a sponsor

Greetings!

The success of our triathlon continues to grow!  We were able to donate $2600 dollars between the Northwoods Veterans’ Post “Raise the Flag” Campaign,  the Friends of the River Bend Trail and several of the volunteer groups who work during the day to help make this event a success.  We have received a grant to advertise across the Upper Midwest.   Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive.  Local volunteer support was fantastic with commitments to come back this coming year.

This level of success would not have been possible without the terrific support from our sponsors.  We plan on repeating the same event with a few minor changes suggested by volunteers and participants.    If you would like to sponsor us for the first time, I’ve included a chart of benefits at the end of this letter.  Last year, this race accumulated over $7000 in expenses and we foresee similar costs this year as we add equipment, expand timing services, and increase advertising.

For those new to this triathlon, it will be held Sat, July 30, 2022.  Athletes will check in Fri evening, race Sat am with awards to follow at Cenotaph Park in the early afternoon.  Following awards, we have live music and a raffle which then segues into Ballyhoo’s Lobsterfest that evening.  A family can make this a weekend event to remember!

We offer 3 levels of sponsorship: Gold = $1000+, Silver = $500-$999, Bronze = 250- $499, Participant = up to $249. Details are shown on the next page.

Your contribution may be in the form of 1) services mutually agreed upon by you and the committee, 2) items donated to athlete goodie bag which promote your business, 3) tax deductible cash donation or any combination of 1-3.

If you are interested in becoming a Silver or Gold sponsor, I must be notified by ASAP to be included in this year’s Silent Sports magazine’s ad campaign for spring issues.  We must be notified by May 1 so that you are included on posters.  All sponsors must notify me by June 1 for those eligible for Free Lobster Dinners. Those entering a free race entry will be given a password.

AS a perk, if you donate at the following levels, here is how you can further your advertising:

** designates you may choose either a free lobster dinner or a free entry into race.

# designates you may choose any combination of dinner or race entries up to 2 total

There will be no T-shirt given out this year.
